I hope you and your family enjoyed the Spring Break and had a chance to enjoy and recharge. Teachers, staff, and leaders are eager to have our students back and we look forward to end the year strong. As we come back, I am happy to announce the dates for Spring Celebrations of Learning (please find them right below my message) - powerful opportunities for students to make learning public. We hope to see you there!

COMMUNICATIONS, INFORMATION & QUESTIONS
April 16 - May 5
Teacher and Staff Appreciation will be celebrated at Mundo Verde during the week of May 1-5! Mundo Verde families have an annual tradition of collecting funds to organize gifts and activities for teachers and staff across the school during Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week. The collection offers caregivers a centralized fund from which to coordinate school-wide efforts, rather than individual classroom efforts, to ensure equity across campuses. This tradition helps ensure we reach all full-time and part-time classroom and non-classroom-based teachers (art, music, cooking, gardening, PE), along with non-instructional staff members like those covering the front desk, working in the kitchen, managing campus operations, providing support across the network, crews cleaning our school, and many other roles that serve students every day outside the classroom. We recognize that each family has unique circumstances and may not be able to contribute to the fund every year.
For those who can and wish to participate, the collection will be open April 16 through May 5. Non-Tax-Deductible Contribution can be made via this PayPal link or by scanning the QR code.
In addition to the Teacher and Staff Collection Fund, please be on the lookout for information from your Classroom Liaisons about other activities being organized that week!
Wednesday, May 3
As part of teacher and staff appreciation week, parents and caregivers at each campus are organizing a potluck to show appreciation to teachers and staff for everything they do for our students. Please note the potluck at J.F. Cook Campus will be for BREAKFAST and the potluck for Calle Ocho will be for LUNCH. Details below:
J.F. Cook Campus - Potluck BREAKFAST on Wednesday, May 3
If you are interested in bringing a dish, supplies, or volunteering your time to help with the potluck breakfast, please contact Emily Adeleke at emilyreinhart@gmail.com.
Calle Ocho Campus - Potluck LUNCH on Wednesday, May 3
If you are interested in bringing a dish, supplies, or volunteering your time to help with the potluck lunch, please sign up here! Please contact your Classroom Liaison with any questions!
