SY22-23 School Calendar
On Friday March 3, our fifth grade class spent half a day experiencing middle school life at DCI. Fifth graders paired up with buddies who graduated from Mundo Verde last year, now DCI’s sixth graders. They shadowed their buddies into their 2nd and 3rd period classes. The visit concluded with a Q&A session and a pizza lunch. Students came back from DCI energized, delighted to connect with our alumni, and looking forward to what next year may bring.
ACADEMICS
Enrollment Process Starts on March 31
On March 31, an email with re-enrollment instructions will be sent to all families. Once you receive it, make sure you complete all of the necessary paperwork. For a list of acceptable documentation as Proof of DC Residency click here (English / Spanish). Please note that current students seeking re-enrollment DO NOT have to go through MySchoolDC. Siblings of current students accepted for a new space will be able to be included in the same re-enrollment form as long as they have been matched to Mundo Verde through MySchoolDC.
Reenrollment Deadlines
RETURNING students - May 5
NEW students - May 1
Note on Siblings of Current Students: While it is possible for a sibling of a current student to not be matched in the initial round, we certainly expect all siblings to receive an offer by the end of June.

COMMUNICATIONS, INFORMATION & QUESTIONS
Students benefit when teachers and school leaders collaborate effectively with parents/caregivers. Over the past 12 months, campus leaders and other school leaders have been meeting with leaders of Comunidad, Padres, Affinity Groups and Classroom Liaisons to improve coordination. With their input, the school has developed these guidelines, for volunteer parent and caregiver groups/associations as a framework to promote effective and equitable engagement with school leaders, to guide coordination and to streamline collaboration both at the campus and the network level. This work is one of many actions the school is taking to further its SY22-23 priority to improve systems.
