NEW! Establishing a Strong Foundation for SY23-24: Staff Recruitment

As we enter the last few months of the school year, school leaders are focused on ensuring a successful end to SY22-23 and establishing a strong foundation for SY23-24. Building an instructional leadership and teaching force is imperative to the school's success and to the success of our students. You will see that Mundo Verde is undertaking a normal recruiting practice in schools, of posting all instructional leader and teaching positions, ensuring a pool of strong and experienced candidates to fill new roles or possible vacancies.

In addition, it is known that the experience of the last 3 years (pandemic and post-pandemic) has impacted the education industry at the national level, the data shows that there is still a shortage of educators in all levels. The school recruitment strategy needs to be as fierce as other industries which means that we actively recruit top talent year round and make the job search professional, personal, and exciting to build the culture of prestige the teaching profession and our students deserve.

COMMUNICATIONS, INFORMATION & QUESTIONS

NEW! Parent and Caregiver Engagement Collaboration & Strategies

Students benefit when teachers and school leaders collaborate effectively with parents/caregivers. Over the past 12 months, campus leaders and other school leaders have been meeting with leaders of Comunidad, Padres, Affinity Groups and Classroom Liaisons to improve coordination. With their input, the school has developed these guidelines, for volunteer parent and caregiver groups/associations as a framework to promote effective and equitable engagement with school leaders, to guide coordination and to streamline collaboration both at the campus and the network level. This work is one of many actions the school is taking to further its SY22-23 priority to improve systems.
