Engagement Conversations Sessions
Session 2 Update and Save the Date for Session 3

Session 2 Update: April 27

Last Wednesday night, school leaders, parents and caregivers from both Cook and Calle Ocho campuses came together for the second session of a series of four Engagement Conversations.

Responding to the desire to identify synergies across existing parent/caregiver organized efforts, and explore collaboration at a school wide level where possible while ensuring that campus specific needs are met, representatives from Cook Campus Padres, Cook Campus Juntos, Calle Ocho Comunidad, School-wide Parent and Caregiver of Black Students Affinity Group and school-wide Classroom Liaisons, shared about each different group goals, structures, and vision and provided an overview of the kinds of activities they have been engaged since its inception and during this current school year.

Through presentations from representatives of each of the parent/caregiver organized groups, participants were able to deepen their understanding of the vision and goals of each of them, a process that certainly sparked interest in collaboration, identifying synergies, and to continue to explore collaboration at a school wide level where possible, and campus specific where more appropriate.

We are excited with this collaborative design process and look forward to convening again for our third session on Wednesday, May 11. You can read more details below.

Save the Date! Engagement Conversation Session 3 - May 11

In response to valuable feedback from session one and two participants, we are adjusting the start and end times for sessions 3 and 4. Please note that Session 3 scheduled for May 11 and session 4 scheduled for May 31 will now be taking place from 7:00 to 8:30pm.

Our third session is designed to respond to parent and caregiver desire to better understand the school's vision and goals for parent/caregiver engagement and for more clarity on what individuals and parent/caregiver organized groups can do to support this vision,  how they can do it, and how often.

Everyone across both campuses is invited to participate, regardless of having been able to join session one or session two! To best plan for our upcoming session, please rsvp in this link RSVP Session 3 Engagement Conversation May 11. If you have questions or are simply are interested in learning more please contact Cristina Faz at cfaz@mundoverdepcs.org
