SY26-27 Checklist

To update all contact details and emergency/authorized pick-up information, please use the Parent Portal on Infinite Campus. After submitting a request for changes, the information will be reviewed for accuracy. You will receive a confirmation message through the parent portal once the changes have been processed. Please allow up to five business days for your request to be completed.

The DC Universal Health Form (English / Spanish) and DC Oral Health Form (English / Spanish) MUST be submitted using this submission form by the first day of school, August 24.

OJO! New Families: If you sent your Medical and Dental Forms to admissions@mundoverdepcs.org as part of the enrollment process, you do not need to send the forms again. They will be shared internally with your child’s campus.

DC Law requires each student attending a DC public school or public charter school to present valid written immunization certification, documenting that they have been successfully immunized in accordance with current Department of Health immunization requirements, to their school before the first day of classes.

Students who do not submit their records within 90 days of the first day of school will be temporarily excluded until their records are submitted.

The meals program has a flat monthly fee of $100 for lunch. In addition, all families are required to pay ($20) for daytime snacks. Families that qualify for free or reduced meals (FARM) will continue to qualify for free meals and snacks. 

To sign up for monthly school meals, please log in to the Parent Portal on Infinite Campus and complete the School Meals Sign-Up Form.

Breakfast is free for all students. Even though breakfast is free, families need to enroll (using the Meals enrollment form) to help the kitchen team be prepared to serve as many students as needed.

For all grades: Water bottles, closed-toed shoes/tennis shoes. 

For PreK and Kinder: Extra clothing in a ziplock bag, a fitted crib sheet, pillow, and blanket (PreK Only) Label these supplies with your child’s name.

Donations: Mundo Verde provides each teacher with start-up supplies for their classroom, as well as a modest budget for ongoing supply needs. Beginning this year, we are inviting families to donate basic school supplies to help stock the campus supply closet throughout the year. Anything we receive from families will be greatly appreciated! If you can contribute, please bring your grade level’s assigned items and drop them in the front desk area. 

• PreK: Playdoh (12 4oz packs), boxes of tissues, pre-sharpened My First Pencils (triangular pencil for easier grip) (12 pack), and a box of ½ gallon Ziploc bags.

• Kinder: Crayons Bulk (pack of 24 or more), Playdoh (12 4oz pack), gluesticks (pack of 3 or more), and a pack of 3mil or 5 mil laminating pouches in 8.9 in. × 11.4 in. or menu size.

• 1st grade: Crayons (24 pack), a box of sandwich-sized Ziploc bags, chisel tip dry erase markers (box of 12 or more), and pink erasers (pack of 12 or more).

• 2nd grade: Black fine-tip dry erase markers (12 or more), a pack of 3mil or 5 mil laminating pouches in 8.9 in. × 11.4 in. or menu size, and highlighters (pack of 12 or more).

• 3rd grade: eco-friendly wipes (packs of 3 or more), Sharpie Tank Highlighters / Chisel Tip (12 or more), Two Pocket Folders - Assorted Colors (pack of 25 or more), and Soft Touch Pointed Tip Kids Scissors (pack of 12 or more). 

• 4th grade: A pack of 3mil or 5 mil laminating pouches in 8.9 in. × 11.4 in. or menu size, School Glue Sticks (pack of 30 or more), Pre Sharpened #2 Pencils (box of 12 or more), and Pink Erasers (pack of 24 or more).

• 5th grade: Broadline Washable Markers (pack of 122 or more), 5 or 6 in Pointed tip Scissors (pack of 12 or more), eco-friendly wipes (packs of 3 or more), a pack of 3mil or 5 mil laminating pouches in 8.9 in. × 11.4 in. or menu size.

Families must complete a FARM application every year to participate in the national program that provides free or reduced-price meals to all children who need them.

Families who do not need this support are also required to complete the opt-out form.

OJO: The FARM application is not the same as signing up for school meals.  These are two different documents.  If you would like to enroll in the meals program, please refer to the School Meals Sign-up Document in your Infinite Campus account.  

Once a FARM application is submitted and processed, you will receive a notification in your Infinite Campus account inbox.  Applications can take up to a week to process. Thank you for your patience.  

To order uniforms, please log in to the Parent Portal on Infinite Campus.  Pay online, then pick up your order at school. Uniforms will not be available for purchase on campus. If you qualify for FARM, please contact your campus:

The KRF program allows students to ride for free on Metrobus, the DC Circulator, and Metrorail within the District. To be eligible for participation in the KRF program, each student must be:

• A resident of the District of Columbia, and

• Ages 5 through 21, and

• Enrolled in an elementary or secondary public, charter, private, or parochial school located within the District or youth in the care of the District.

OJO! The SY25-26 KRF SmarTrip cards are valid only through September 30, 2026.
